I use two mouse pads myself: rough-faced Razer heavy beetle, fine-faced Sai Rui FNATIC team mat
The feeling of use is: rough face heavy beetle is more suitable for FPS games, such as CS, eating chicken, etc.; fine face Sai Rui FNATIC team mat is more suitable for daily use, such as office, PS, AUTOCAD and other software environments.
Rough analysis:
In fact, from the initial CS, timely development to the present, FPS games on the mouse DPI (or more accurate description should be CPI) requirements are not high. Microsoft IO1.1, which has been discontinued for many years, has a DPI of only 400, and it is still a good FPS mouse. why? Because of the high DPI, even the slightest hand shake will have a great impact on the aiming. (Principle? Try to see a 20x magnification telescope. It is almost impossible to observe an object stably without a tripod.) This is actually a negative effect on the FPS game. From the mouse back to the mouse pad, it is not difficult to understand: too fine mouse pad surface + too high DPI settings, is actually not conducive to FPS game targeting.
But if you use a variety of drawing software to map, such as the most common PS, this time, using a high DPI mouse and a fine surface mouse pad, when dealing with some details, compared to the rough mouse pad, will make you feel more Easily control the slight movement of the mouse.
This feeling is not well quantified, but it is indeed a use of a strong personal color that I have compared over the years. Therefore, when I play FPS games, the DPI is adjusted to 400-600, which is very low and low. I use the rough surface to reload the beetle. When I work, I switch back to the DPI setting of 4000 or more, and use the fine-faced game core mouse pad.
The above is only my personal experience.
